Martha M. Tate, LCSW

Martha is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), providing assessment and counseling for young, middle, and elder adults. She also sees couples in relationship counseling.

“It is my deep belief that human beings are programmed with the ability to heal and grow. And, that we often need support in a non-judgmental, safe space with a seasoned therapist to do so. It is my great honor to have offered such a space and respectful presence to clients for more than 30 years.“

In addition to her clinical practice, Martha conducts workshops and retreats on Life Transitions, Myers Briggs Personality Type, and Wellness Through Meditation.

EDUCATION

Martha received a BA in English Literature from the University of Georgia in 1975 and a MSW (Masters of Social Work) from Smith College in 1982.

CERTIFICATIONS

Certifications in the following specialty areas enrich her work with clients:

  • Qualified User of the Myers-Briggs Personality Indicator from the Association for Psychological Type
  • Certification in Clinical Hypnosis from the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis
